Alexis Jimenez, MA, LMHC

I was born and raised in Southern California, and that is such an important part of who I am, no matter where I may currently live.

I am a queer Latine trauma-informed sex therapist, licensed as a Mental Health Counselor here in WA state.

I work with individuals 18+ experiencing a wide range of challenges, but primarily work with sexuality, sex education, trauma, attachment, anxiety, and somatic work. My experience includes working in a variety of mental health settings, including nonprofit organizations and community-based care.

My approach to therapy is humanistic, existential, and integrative - grounded in the belief that you have everything you need within you to heal and thrive.  I utilize a variety of practices to help with grounding, mindfulness, psycho-education, and somatic work. 

It is my intention that our work together be rooted and centered in presence, safety, non-judgment, and connection. I am here to bear witness to your way of being and hold space for you to show up as your authentic self. I believe my impact lies in my ability to hold not only my own identities and experiences, but my communities, cultures, and ancestors. 

  •  In September 2023, I graduated from Antioch University's Sex Therapy Certification program and love to work with clients dealing with sexuality, sexual health issues, sexual trauma, etc.

  • For about 2 years, I worked with various people who experienced a wide range of challenges.

  • I graduated from Seattle University in 2022 with a Master’s degree in  Existential-Phenomenological Psychology. During my program, I worked as a therapist intern at DAWN (Domestic Abuse Women’s Network) in which I primarily worked with women who were in active trauma and domestic violence situations.

    Soon after graduating, I began working at a community mental health agency in which I worked with people from various different backgrounds, situations, ages, etc.

  • During my masters program, I worked as a therapist intern at DAWN (Domestic Abuse Women’s Network) in which I primarily worked with women who were in active trauma and were processing trauma and domestic violence situations. I had the absolute honor of sharing space with such incredible people, growing in my ability to hold space for the unimaginable.

  • Graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Visual Arts, Communication, and a certificate in New Media Journalism.
